XC followers,
Yesterday our boys and girls cross country teams beat Hopewell (boys 22-37) and (girls 16-43). However Montour continued to prove that the state champions from last year were no fluke. Both girls and boys fell victim to a much larger and stronger squad, (girls 35-20) and (boys 31-25).
The odds were not in our favor even before the meet started due to some of our top runners being to ill to compete. That did not deter Ella from trying to breakup through Montour’s top five. She placed 3rd (19:59) and in hot pursuit was Rylie in 5th (20:37).
Our front runners on the boys side were Eli Bechdel (17:23) also in 3rd and Connor Young 5th (17:44).
